Its story
Kuzalan was declared a nature park in 2013. The park on the Dereli–Şebinkarahisar road is known for the travertines formed by a calcareous spring, its six waterfalls including the Kuzalan Waterfall, and its subalpine and fir forests. The pools of different sizes on the Göksu Deresi (Göksu Creek) are known as Mavi Göl (Blue Lake) and take on a turquoise color depending on the season. The park, which has hiking trails, becomes even more beautiful in autumn when beech leaves fall on the white travertines.
