Türkiye's first glass art museum; works by Turkish and foreign artists in a building created by joining three Odunpazarı houses.
Its story
The Eskişehir Museum of Contemporary Glass Art opened on 1 December 2007 through the cooperation of the Metropolitan Municipality, Anadolu University and the Friends of Glass Group. The museum building was created by joining three restored historic Odunpazarı houses. The collection includes works made with different techniques such as hot glass blowing and cold shaping, by Turkish artists as well as Japanese, Polish, Latvian and German artists. Two of the galleries are devoted to the permanent collection and one to temporary exhibitions. It is right next to the Wax Museum.
