Its story
The Tercan Dam is an earth-fill dam built on the Tuzla Stream between 1969 and 1988 for irrigation and electricity generation. Behind the body, which rises 65 meters above the riverbed, a lake forms that spreads over an area of about 8.85 km² at its normal water level. The dam lake, a few kilometers from the district center, is listed by GoTürkiye among areas suitable for still-water sports such as canoeing and water skiing. From around the dam body you can enjoy views of the lake and the bare steppe hills around it; it is a short stop that can fit into the same day as a visit to the Mama Hatun Complex.
