Its story
Süloğlu Dam was built between 1975–1981 for irrigation and flood control; its lake area is about 2.9 square kilometers. Given that tourism in the district is limited, the area around the dam serves as a picnic and recreation spot for local people in summer. Since 2009 Süloğlu has been on the historic Sultans' Trail walking route; cyclists and hikers pass around the lake. It suits a quiet, uncrowded half day.
