Its story
Adıgüzel Dam was built between 1976–1989 on the Büyük Menderes River for irrigation, power generation and flood control. Behind its 144-meter-high rock-fill body lies a lake of about 26 km². The lake fills the deep valley stretching from the districts of Güney, Çal and Bekilli to the Uşak border. The dam body is near Adıgüzeller in Güney district, and the winding valley scenery is good for photography.
