Bozcaada Local History Museum
Bozcaada, Çanakkale
A private museum telling the island's history of winemaking, seafaring and daily life through postcards, maps and objects.
Its story
The Bozcaada Local History Museum was created by the collector Hakan Gürüney and opened in 2005. It displays old postcards, maps, engravings, winemaking objects, seashells and publications about the island that shed light on its local history. The small but carefully assembled collection is a good start for understanding the island's past, when Greek and Turkish communities lived together.
