Village and rural life
Misi (Gümüştepe)
Nilüfer, Bursa
Bursa's in-town getaway village on the Nilüfer Çayı, with stone houses and historic bridges.
Its story
Misi, officially named Gümüştepe, is an old village set in a valley where the Nilüfer Çayı (Nilüfer Stream) bends. The stone houses in its narrow streets, the historic bridges over the stream and the plane trees in the village square create a calm atmosphere. The village is famous for Misi mantı, one of Bursa's local specialties. Local producers sell jams and handicrafts in the streets. Being close to the city center, it suits half-day weekend outings.
