Bursa Archaeology Museum
Osmangazi, Bursa
A museum in Kültürpark displaying finds from the mounds and ancient cities around Bursa.
Its story
The Bursa Archaeology Museum is located within the green space of Kültürpark. The collection covers finds ranging from Neolithic settlements such as Ilıpınar and Aktopraklık to the Bithynian period and the Roman and Byzantine eras. Funerary stelae, sculptures, coins and jewelry tell the story of the region's long history of settlement. Sarcophagi and inscriptions can be seen in the open-air display in the garden. Combined with a walk in the park, it makes a relaxed half-day program.
