Its story
Yedigöller is north of Bolu, in the rugged forests of the Western Black Sea, and was declared a national park in 1965. The lakes are dam lakes formed when sliding earth masses blocked the valleys; some are connected to one another by water seeping from the bottom. Büyükgöl, Deringöl, Seringöl, Nazlıgöl, Sazlıgöl and İncegöl can be visited on short walking paths. Türkiye's first trout breeding station was established here in 1969. The forests of beech, hornbeam, oak, fir and pine turn yellow and red especially in October; wild animals such as bears, wolves, red deer and roe deer live in the park. The Kapankaya viewpoint offers the chance to see the lakes from above. Within the park there are a camping area, day-use areas and accommodation units.
