Its story
Yağcıbedir carpets are traditional handwoven carpets made in and around Sındırgı, named after the Yağcıbedir Yörüks who settled in the region. Woven with naturally dyed wool in dark navy, red and brown tones, the carpets are known for their geometric motifs. The Yağcıbedir handwoven carpet is registered with a geographical indication. The weaving tradition still continues in the villages of Sındırgı.
