Its story
The Nazilli Calico Factory was established by Sümerbank under the First Five-Year Industrial Plan and opened in 1937 at a ceremony attended by Atatürk. For many years it was at the center of the region's economic and social life. The campus buildings are among the important examples of early Republican industrial architecture.
