A museum in the historic mansion at Çakırbeyli telling the life and times of Prime Minister Adnan Menderes.
Its story
The museum was set up in the mansion on the Çakırbeyli farm belonging to the family of Adnan Menderes, Türkiye's 9th Prime Minister. The building was commissioned by Hacı Ali Paşa from Hungarian architects and was damaged in a fire in the 1950s. Opened in 2022 after restoration, the museum tells the story of Menderes's life, political career and the Türkiye of his era through documents, photographs and belongings. The farm's gardens can also be visited.
