Its story
Adnan Menderes Dam was built on the Çine Çayı in the Çine district by the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) between 1995 and 2010 and opened on October 10, 2010. With its 120-meter roller-compacted concrete body, it is known as the highest dam of its class in Europe. Serving irrigation, power generation and flood protection, the dam's lake covers about 9.3 km². Stretching through mountainous terrain, the lake offers a wide view from around the dam body.
