Its story
Named after the Atabarı folk dance, regarded as the symbol of Artvin, the center began construction in 2008 and opened on 14 February 2009. It is also known as the Mersivan Ski Center. On forest-ringed slopes, there are runs graded by difficulty with a total length of about 1.3 km, served by a chairlift and a T-bar lift. The facility, which has a cafeteria, parking and changing rooms, hosts winter events such as traditional sledge races. Being close to the city, it is a good option for day trips for skiing and sledding; nearby Kafkasör is also popular for accommodation and meals.
