A turquoise lake formed by a 185-meter arch dam in the deep valley of the Manavgat River.
Its story
Oymapınar Dam was built on the Manavgat River between 1977 and 1984 for electricity generation. Its concrete arch body rises 185 m above the riverbed and forms a lake of about 4.7 km² behind it. The lake, about 12 km north of Manavgat Waterfall, stretches between steep canyon walls.
